Tenants Fees

Under the Tenant Fees Act 2019, the only payments we can charge tenants are listed below.

Holding deposit: capped at a maximum of 1 week's rent.

Security deposit: capped at 5 weeks' rent (annual rent under GBP50,000), or 6 weeks' rent (annual rent GBP50,000+)

Rent: as stated on the individual property listing.

Changes to the tenancy (at the tenant's request): capped at GBP50 inc VAT, or reasonable costs if higher

Early termination (at the tenant's request): capped at the landlord's actual loss.

Late rent payments: interest at 3% above Bank of England base rate, only after 14 days late.

Lost keys or security devices: reasonable cost of replacement (evidence provided).

Redress scheme: Lawrence Rand is a member of the Property Redress Scheme (PRS).
