REMEMBER, REMEMBER

Across the UK, it is estimated in the region of £500 million is spent celebrating Bonfire Night and the foiling of the gunpowder plot back in 1605. Around half the population is set to don woolly hats and scarves to attend organised events. To date in 2019, every weekday on average twice this amount of money is spent on property purchases. It would take just three days’ of property sales across London and the South East to hit this figure, compared to over 20 days’ in the North East and Wales. Toasted marshmallows are considered the most popular Bonfire Night Snack, followed by Toffee Apples and Bonfire Toffee. Fingers crossed the rain stays away.
