CONFIDENCE IS ON THE UP

On a seasonally adjusted basis, the latest figures from the HMRC show the number of homes sold in April 2019 in the UK has risen by 0.8% compared to April 2018. This implies that confidence in the housing market is slightly higher than it was at the same time last year.

Furthermore, it is also possibly a sign that households are fed up of waiting for the uncertainty surrounding the prolonged Brexit process and are making decisions about their house move.  We have certainly seen a huge rise in both instructions and deals being tied up, so it certainly feels as though the market in our local Ruislip, Eastcote & Pinner areas is on the move!

A total of 99,420 households across the UK thought it was a good time to sell their homes in April 2019, according to the provisional, seasonally-adjusted figures on transactions. Although UK residential transactions (seasonally adjusted) have dipped in April 2019 compared to March 2019, the results remain provisional and could still be revised upwards.
